Back from our trip to Hawaii

Here are some of the pictures from our first day in Kauai. This waterfall is the Wailua Falls.

I couldn't resist taking pictures of all the flowers that were everywhere. Even the weeds had flowers on them. This one is the Hibiscus flower.

I couldn't believe how beautiful the beaches were. The contrasting lava rock that outlined the beaches had white coral washed up from the ocean.

This is a bush that grew wild just about everywhere you looked. The colors of green were amazing.

We got up early many mornings just in time to watch the sunrise right on the patio of our condo.
There will be more pictures to come of this awesome trip. I promise.

Happy Anniversary! What a beautiful trip you have. Lucky couple. I hope to someday see Hawaii. I enjoyed your helicopter tour, showing all the sights. It felt like I was along for the ride. What a fun vacation for you guys.

Soccer

Soccer
Halen finished up the soccer season last week. This was his third season and he was pretty agressive trying to help his team. He broke his pinky finger being goalie, but it didn't hold him back too much. Grandma and Grandpa Gerber and Jensen came to cheer him on. On one of the days that it looked as if the game would be cancelled due to rain, he said "Oh no, soccer is my life!" His sense of humor has been really something else this summer and he has said many things that have made us laugh.
